I studied law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho, in Mexico City (1990-1995), and was admitted to practice in Mexico in 1997.
I attended specialization courses of Industrial and Intellectual Property Law (1998 ) and Amparo Law (2000) at the Universidad Panamericana, in Mexico City.
In 1997, I joined the law firm of Goodrich Riquelme y Asociados, in Mexico City, and became the youngest ever junior partner in 2000. I held that position until 2008, when I started my own firm Reyes Fenig Asociados.
My fields of specialization are trademark, patent and domain names litigation, trademark filing and prosecution, drafting of contracts involving IP matters and providing general counseling regarding intellectual property.
I am an active member of the Mexican Bar (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados), the Mexican chapter of AIPPI and LES-Mexico.
In 2006 I was nominated by Managing Intellectual Property and Latin Lawyer Magazine as one of the top Mexican trademark and intellectual property lawyers.
I am author and coauthor of many articles regarding intellectual property law in Mexico; some of them have been published in World Intellectual Property Report, World Licensing Law Report, Managing Intellectual Property and El Foro. In 2003, Porrua published my book La Protección de la Marca Registrada Mediante Acciones Civiles (“The Protection of the Registered Trademark through Civil Actions”)
Since 2000, I have been teaching intellectual property law at the School of Design of the Universidad Anahuac, northern campus.
